At KaitleeKares Collective, our mission is to honor loved ones, encourage healing, and create a compassionate space for reflection and connection.
To protect our community, and to protect ourselves, we ask that all participation follows the guidelines below.
This page outlines how stories may be shared, how submissions are handled, and how we support emotional safety for everyone who visits this space.
1. Mental Health Disclaimer
KaitleeKares Collective is NOT a crisis or mental health service. We CANNOT provide professional counseling, emergency support, or medical advice.

- Any content published on this site or shared through our project is for connection, awareness, and community support only.

3. Safe Sharing Guidelines
To protect our community and maintain an emotionally safe space, we ask that submissions follow these guidelines:
- Please avoid graphic descriptions, specific methods, or traumatic details
- Do not include criminal information, legal cases, or anything that could identify ongoing investigations.
- Please avoid explicit references to substances or specific harmful behaviors.
- Kindness and respect are required at all times!
- Submissions should focus on love, memory, hope, healing, or emotional connection—not graphic events.
These guidelines allow us to honor our loved ones while protecting vulnerable viewers, including teens and children.
4. Submission Policy
When you submit a name, message or story through our website, you acknowledge the following:
- Your submission may be reviewed, edited, or not shared, depending on its content and alignment with our guidelines.
- Not all submissions will appear on the website, map, TikTok, or social content.
- We may gently edit submissions for clarity, sensitivity, or safety.
- You may request removal of your submission at any time by contacting us via email.
Our priority is maintaining a safe, supportive space for everyone who participates.
5. Consent for Public Sharing
By submitting content through the KaitleeKares website, you confirm that:
- You are the legal owner of the story, message, or name being shared.
- You grant us permission to use your submission on:
- Our website
- The Butterfly Map
- TikTok and any other social platforms
- Printed tags or memorial materials
- The ZenZine (coming soon)
- You understand that we may choose to share, not share, or edit submissions as needed for safety and sensitivity.
You may withdraw permission at any time.
6. Protecting Minors & Families
To safeguard children and families:
- We do not knowingly accept submissions from individuals under the age of 18.
- We do not publish sensitive or harmful details that could affect children connected to a loved one’s story.
- We may remove or redact any content that could impact a minor’s emotional or digital safety.
Our goal is to honor loved ones in a way that remains gentle and appropriate for all ages.
7. Community Guidelines
Our community is built on kindness, respect and compassion.
By participating, you agree to:

- Refrain from harassment or judgement
- Honor the privacy and lived experiences of others
- Understand that this is a healing space, not a debate space.
Anyone violating these guidelines may have their submissions removed or blocked.
