The Best is Yet to Come

The Best is Yet to Come

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary.  We’ve been together for over 10 years!  I took some time to just reminisce about all that we’ve been through in those years.

We went through some absolute crazy family drama with my family.  We have had two of my sisters live with us, and we’ve had my one sister’s entire family live with us recently.

I’ve struggled greatly with my mental health, ups and downs.  My daughter has struggled with her mental health.  We’ve had both my husband and my youngest go through lymes disease treatment.  My husband had cancer which entailed so much!  Major surgery, chemo for a few months that made him so sick he had a heart attack followed by another different medication which thankfully was SOOO much better.  I had a breast cancer scare and ended up having surgery on my breast around the same time.  We’ve lost a few amazing pets.  I’ve now lost a sister and a brother.  We’ve had both of our cars break down simultaneously.  We’ve had great financial strain and wondered how we’re even gonna make ends meet.  And we’ve supported each other 💯 through all of it.

Life has been so hard sometimes!  But it has never weighed on our relationship.  Every one of those situations has genuinely strengthened us.

We fortunately are both typically very level headed individuals.  We both tend to not be very materialistic.  We would rather give to someone else than treat ourselves.  Both of our love language seems to be taking care of others as opposed to doing what we want.

I’m not even sure where I’m going with this blog.  I just wanted to remind you….if you find THAT person, don’t let them go!  Sometimes life is soooo hard - but my marriage has never been a struggle for me.  I literally thank God every single day for bringing this man into my life.  For giving this man the patience of a saint.  For getting this man to fall in love with me for some crazy reason.  I’m not sure what I did to deserve this man - but I don’t take this man for granted.

Happy anniversary to the love of my life.  I am so excited to seee what else life has to throw at us.  The best is yet to come ❤️
